You want to download games or movies, or you need to update your Windows and your Android/Apple phone, yet your unlimited internet in Globe has this Fair Usage Policy? Well, you can download big files now without getting throttled to 2G speed! I have been a Globe user for years and their FUP has been an obstacle for my download days ever since. If you are being like me, here's how you can download big files.



How to Download Big Files Without Being Blocked by Globe/TM?

A. Use Regular Load (no promo)
1. You only need to load around 30php-50php. Make sure you do not have existing registration to promos. If you have, buy an extra Globe/TM SIM for your download activities only.
2. Text SURFALERT OFF to 8080.
3. Start your download. It is advisable to download during off-peak hours (11PM-6AM). You can just start the download before you sleep and let it finish. Just make sure that your regular load is only the amount you want to spend for the download. The download speed during off-peak hours is faster and Globe/TM only charge Php5/15mins. It downloads at 4mbps.
4. Once you are done, send SURFALERT ON to 8080 to make sure that your internet won't consume regular load next time you reload.

B. Use Consumable Internet Promos (Not Unlimited)
1. If you can afford to download using data promos, just send GOTSCOMBOKEA37 to 8080 and you will have 1GB of consumable data for your 1GB download. If you want more data allocation, register again using that promo to have 2GB and so on. It costs PhP37 for every successful registration.

These tips will ensure that your download speed won't throttle to 2G.

Globe Telecom features are constantly upgrading. Now, not only load denominations can be shared to your friends and family. They have added to their Share-a-Load the new Share-a-Promo. This new feature allows a Globe/TM user to load another Globe/TM user with a GoSurf or unlimited promo through their load sharing system. You no longer have to go to your load retailers to have a GoSurf or unli promo. Just ask your friend to load your SIM and get in touch in the online world.


How to Share-a-Promo in Globe/TM?
Option 1.
Send the KEYWORD to 2+10-digit number of your friend or family. The process is similar to their Share-a-Load.
Ex. GOSURF99 then send to 29051234567
Confirm the sharing and you are done.

Available KEYWORDs are:
GoSURF10, GOSURF15, GOSURF30, GOSURF50, GOSURF505D, GOSURF99, GOUNLI 30, SUPERUNLI 25, GOIDD 200 and GOSURF299.

Option 2.
Instead of sending KEYWORDs, you can opt to dial *143*8# and choose your preferred promo.

Since many had been complaining that the internet data allocation included in this Globe's Cheap 1100 Allnet Texts for 30 Days has access to Facebook but with no pictures, an anonymous user has commented a way to gain access to FREE Facebook with enabled pictures. But some users still complained that it is not working for them. As for my case, I also tried the promo and I was given 30MB allocation per day but after the 30MB is consumed due to lots of pictures showing in Facebook, one will revert to the use of FREE Facebook access but with no images. The tutorial below will let you use FB for FREE and will let you browse your friend's uploaded pictures.


How to Access FREE Facebook with Enabled Images in Globe/TM?
Requirements:
-Globe/TM Sim card even with zero load
-Facebook App or your internet browser (Opera Mini, UCWEB, Chrome, Firefox, etc)
-Mobile phone/tablet or your broadband stick/modem

Procedure:
1. Go to write messages of your phone/tablet or broadband stick/modem. Then send the following keywords:

SURFALERT ON to 8888 and wait for confirmation.
SURFALERT OFF to 8888 and wait for confirmation.
SURFALERT ON to 8888 and wait for confirmation.

2. Open your Facebook app or Facebook page (using your internet browser) and start using it with enabled images. Done!

Alternative Procedure:
When accessing Facebook, use b-m.facebook.com
All done! 

Note: Your Facebook access cannot play FB videos. This tutorial only enables pictures to show.

Touch Mobile (TM) has improved its version of COMBO10, a combo promo of call, unlitext and allnet texts. The new COMBOALL10 is now better with more consumable call minutes than their old promo at the same price. Other than this improved call time, the other inclusions remain the same. You can still extend the promo for 30 times for only Php5.00 a day.

NO need for maintaining balance and calling prefixes, just dial directly the TM/Globe number of whom you want to call.

If you prefer consumable internet data, you might like the following promos for TM and Globe. You can use the promo for 30 days for only PhP299 in TM and 28 days for PhP280 in Globe. The promo is suitable for users who prefers a longer internet validity than the unlimited internet subscription but good only for a day or two. It gives users the benefit of enjoying the internet in their mobile phones or tablets because these gadgets consume less kb per page loaded than when using a laptop or PC. 2. Before your subscription expires (at least an hour before expiration), register again to GOTSCOMBODD70 and the remaining internet data and texts from your previous subscription will be carried over to your new promo subscription letting you have more than 1GB of internet data and more than 1k texts to same network. Do this for 4 weeks and you will have 4GB internet data and 4000 texts to Globe and TM for 28 days. Done!

How to check your balance?
Send GOSAKTO STATUS to 8080.

Need additional data during the seven-day period of your registration?
You can add another 1GB data to your subscription by registering to GOTSCOMBOKEA37 (sent to 8080). This costs PhP37.00 and will expire along with your DD70 expiration date, not one day.

FREE texts to ALL networks?? Globe and TM users are happy to have it! The texts has no expiry as long as your account is active and your "Credit expires" notice is not yet due. You can continue using the FREE texts by extending your "Credit expires" notice thru loading regular amount to your account. Don't worry, your regular load will not be consumed if you still have the FREE texts. (Update: Not Working as of May 2015)



GLOBE Users
Requirements:
Globe Prepaid SIM
PhP41.00 Regular Load

Procedure:
1. Dial *143*1*1*2*2**1*1*1# and press the Call button. Better do this between 7-9AM so as not to forget registering in the next step. But you can do this any time of the day as long as you can follow STEP 2.
2. Around 7-9AM, text GT5 to 8888 three times. Better way to do it is register on 7AM, 8AM, and 9AM. Remember you have to send 3 GT5 registrations!
3. That's equivalent to 3000 texts to all Network. If you can't register thrice, you can only have 1000 or 2000 FREE texts.
4. Enjoy your no expiry FREE texts to ALL networks.


TM Users
Requirements:
TM Prepaid SIM
PhP35.00 or PhP25.00 regular load (check procedure for the difference)

Procedure:
PhP25 equivalent to 3000 FREE texts
1. Send UC15 to 8888. Wait for the confirmation text.
2. Send UA10 to 8888. Wait for the confirmation text.
3. After promo expires, you can still send texts to other network because you have 3000 FREE texts! You cannot see it in your balance inquiry though.

PhP35 equivalent to 6000 FREE texts
1. Follow Step 1 and 2 in the PhP25-procedure above. 
2. Send UA10 STOP to 8888. Wait for the confirmation text.
3. Send UA10 to 8888. Wait for the confirmation text.
4. You now have 6000 FREE texts to ALL networks which you can use after your promo expires! You cannot see the remaining texts in your balance but it's there for you to consume.

Update March 24, 2015 (Cannot register to UC15 so we register to UC20 here)
PhP30 equivalent to 3000 FREE texts

1. Send UC20 to 8888. Wait for the confirmation text.
2. Send UA10 to 8888. Wait for the confirmation text.
