I tried to register to BB DAY today and unfortunately, Smart Communications no longer offer this promo. Instead they sent me an ad regarding their new promo, the Giga Surf 50. With the same amount of PhP50, a subscriber can enjoy 1GB of consumable internet data plus FREE 300MB of Youtube, Iflix, Spinnr, Vimeo, DailyMotion, Skype Qik, and Dubsmash access. (Update: This promo now has unlimited all network texts!) Moreover, if you cannot consume all the data in three days, you can share your remaining data allocation to your friends or family using the new PASADATA feature of Smart (just like in PASALOAD). Minimum data to share is 50MB.

I also searched if Globe has a better promo for Php50. To match this Smart's new promo, Globe has upgraded its GoSurf50 with 1GB data for internet usage plus 300MB data for a chosen app (i.e. Viber, Spotify, SnapChat, Youtube, DailyMotion, CoC, or Clash Royale), and unlimited Allnet text and FREE Facebook app use.

If you want to have the additional unlimited Allnet texts, then go with the Globe's GoSurf50. But if you are more specific with the data provision, I suggest you register to Smart's GigaSurf50.

As corrected below in the comment form, both subscriptions are LTE signals if your device and SIM are LTE capable.

Smart Communications, along with MyPhone, has offered its customer a very affordable phonekit at the start of year 2016. For the first 50 thousand customers, they were able to provide the MyPhone My28 for only PhP888 with free sports watch and a monthly 100MB data allocation for 12 months. But due to growing demand and with the phone running out of stock, the phone kit was downgraded to a lite version, the MyPhone My28S. The My28S with the "S" is a downgraded version because the used to be 8GB internal memory of My28 was turned to 4GB and its camera quality cannot compare to the previous version. The new year is about to start and I have been away for the holidays so many have been asking through private messages of any cheaper internet access for Smart users. As of today, Smart has already fixed the TNT Surfmax Glitch, there's really no forever. And also the Super10 and FB10 unli internet access already served their sole purpose. Gladly, there are still other promos that will let Smart users to surf the internet for at least PhP15/day and it can even get cheaper if availed for a longer period.


Cheap Unlimited Internet for Smart (At Least P15/Day)
Requirements:

Known Issues:

If you are in a tight budget and you cannot make the Piso Unli Internet to work on your device, then try the tutorial below for Smart and TNT SIM for less than PhP10 a day spent on subscription. Let's hope that by these promos, there will be no more hassles and no-browsing problems anymore. Adding to the unli internet access, the promos below will let you have unli call and unli allnet texts. It will provide your Smart (Jump-IN, Buddy and Nano) and TNT SIM with internet access that will let you download, stream videos and access the social networks with no need for VPN to access the restricted sites like Youtube. Still, if you prefer a cheaper version for TNT, try the Internet Access for PhP5 but it needs to use VPN to access the restricted sites and no unli call/text were included. Just choose what's convenient with you. You have four available options for different budgets.

How to have Internet Access For Less Than PhP10 a Day (TNT and Smart)?
Requirements:

2. Register to P10 to 3545 and wait for confirmation. You will have unli tri-net call and unli allnet text for one day for only PhP10. This used to have 30MB limit for internet data but now, it is already unlimited.
3. Text EDAY (or EXTEND) to 3545 and wait for confirmation. Your P10 promo will be extended for another day for only PhP5, making a total of PhP15 spent for 2 days validity.
4. Enable your internet settings and connect to the internet using your phone/tablet, modem or pocket wifi. You can now browse the internet, download and upload files and stream videos for more than the 30MB limit allocated by TNT.
5. Done. You now have unli internet access, unli call and text for two days. If you want to extend again for additional days, just load at least PhP5 again and text EDAY (or EXTEND) to 3545. 4. Enable your internet settings and start browsing the internet, download and upload files and even stream videos using your favorite web browser.
*You need to register if your SUPER10 expires. But if you will not receive any notification that your subscription is already expired, then it's a sign that maybe your SIM no longer needs to register again.

FAQ:
1. Is this an ON/OFF promo?
-Yes, you don't have to wait for hours to have internet access. You will still have internet access even if you disconnect your device for long and open it again.
2. Is this working until now?
-Yes, unless otherwise stated in the post. I will update the post once the promo subscription is no longer beneficial/working.
3. No browse for NCR users?

Smart Communications has stopped their LTE promos (i.e. LTE50 and Unlisurf) last October 31, 2015. These were replaced with the new SURFMAX and SURFMAXPLUS promos. Same speed, same denominations, BUT with limits. According to their Surfmax guidelines, the promo allows subscribers to enjoy all day surfing up to 800MB/day at optimal speeds and once this is consumed, all day surfing services will still be active but connection quality may vary until 12 midnight. There you go, sounds familiar with Globe's Fair Usage Policy (FUP), eh? So, nothing is unlimited now in the Philippines. We live more with limits? Internet should be a wide universe with no boundaries, we are paying for it so, we should get the best out of it!

The Surfmax promo is available for Smart Postpaid, Prepaid and Smart Bro users. Better use the SurfmaxPlus if you are in an LTE-covered area and your internet device is an LTE-capable one to ensure that you have the fastest internet speed.


How to Overcome the 800MB Limit of Smart's SurfMax and SurfMaxPlus?
We are all very disappointed with this new restriction in their internet promo, right? But Smart provided us a solution to get past their 800MB bandwidth limit usage. As stated in their guidelines:

Upon reaching their Smart SurfMax daily limit, subscribers may also switch to any Smart Big Bytes offering to continue enjoying optimal speeds. For a complete list of Smart Big Bytes packages, they may also visit www.smart.com.ph/pages/bigbytes.

So, the number 1 solution to prevent being throttled to slow network speed is to register to Big Bytes. Once you received a text from Smart notifying you that you have already consumed 800MB data, you only need to register to a Big Byte promo to revert your internet network speed to normal. It did not mention the denomination, so we prefer the cheapest one, the Big Byte for PhP5. To do this, send BIG5 to 9999 and wait for the confirmation then restart your modem and voila, your internet speed should be back to normal even if you have consumed the 5MB data from BigBytes and your Surfmax promo is not yet expired.

For Talk 'N Text users, you can send BIG5 to 4545. You can also register to SAMPLE to 4545.

Number 2 solution is to register to their SurfMaxPLUS promo using a Jump-In SIM card. Do not use SmartBro or KickStart Sim, these two are very strict when it comes to capping. They are so much updated with your internet data usage.

Number 3 solution is to register to their SurfMax promo using a KickStart Data SIM. If ever Smart notified you with the 800MB limit, turn off your modem for 30 mins and reconnect after that 30 mins. But most probably, Smart will not send notification using this SIM and this promo.

Number 4 solution is to restart your modem/broadband stick once you receive the 800MB usage notification. By turning your modem off, you allow it to change its IP connection and thus giving you a chance to get a nonthrottled IP. This works with KickStart Data SIMs.

Number 5 solution is to download more than 1GB files when you are enrolled in the promo and never mind the notification that you have used the 800MB data. If your download speed is maintained after you receive the notification, then say "My SIM is Great!" This works with some Jump-In SIMs but not all the time. So, try at your own risk.

Number 6 solution is to resend the promo code once your speed is throttled. Just resend the SURFMAX promo code to 9999 or 2200 even if you do not have enough load. Just ignore the insufficient load balance notification and restart your device. You can also use the SmartBro dashboard to register to SURFMAX. When you do this, make sure that you DO NOT have load greater than PhP49.

Update December 8, 2015: All SURFMAX users, expiration in this promo is until every 11:59PM. So I suggest you register after 11:59PM, i.e. 12:01AM, to have your subscription last for two days. Example, you register in Dec.8, 2015 12:01AM, your expiration will be on Dec 9, 2015, 11:59PM. That's two days for the price of PhP50.

Alternative for Unlimited Internet Without Limit
Instead of subscribing to SurfMax, subscribe to UnliSurf. Though Smart have announced that Unlisurf is no longer available, this promo is still available in your retailer store's SmartLoad Menu. You don't need to keywords to register, you only need to go to your suking tindahan and ask the SmartLoad retailer to load your Smart SIM with UnliSurf. They can also load your SIM by texting UNLI50 (your number) and send to 4122.

Disclaimer: I cannot guarantee that all these tricks will work to prevent your SIM from being throttled once you have consumed the 800MB data. It's effectiveness is a case-to-case basis. Your location/area is a determinant of its success as well as the SIM you are using. Since Smart is still in the process of upgrading their system, once or twice you will encounter a glitch in their network. You might even use their one day promo for more than a week, or you might end up not being able to connect to the internet even if you have just registered to the promo.

Let's call this trick the PisoNet since this provides Talk 'N Text and Smart users with unlimited internet access for at least one peso per day. This is way cheaper than the Smart's new Unlimited Internet for PhP20/Day.  This also beats the TNT's PhP5/Day Internet Access for Clash of Clans Users. Better, right? As for Smart users, it's actually PhP2/day while for TNT users it's PhP1 per 2 days. You can browse, e-mail, chat in social media, download files, stream videos and play online games. The internet speed after availing this promo will depend on your location as the strength of TNT and Smart signal vary. The signal is an H+/HSPA+, not LTE. It can be used on phone/tablet and modems as long as there is a SIM slot. This doesn't work for SmartBro SIM. Pisonet is also working for Mindanao area users (thanks to Jan Do You's feedback).

How to Have Unlimited Internet For at Least Piso per Day (TNT and Smart)
Requirements:
Talk 'N Text SIM or Smart SIM with at least P10 load (Buddy LTE SIM only)

*If you cannot register to FB2, register first to FREE WIKI to 5555 (or to 7577). You need to redo steps 2-5 everyday. If you used FREE WIKI instead of Youtube, use the FREE WIKI again in your next registration. This is cheaper than PhP5.

Known Issues (Jump-In/Buddy Users):
No browse even if you followed the steps properly. Just check your current IP and make sure it is not 10.156.xxx.There are Android apps that will help you identify your IP and as for PC/laptop users, just go to your modem/broadband stick dashboard. If it is not displayed in your dashboard, go to Command Prompt and type cmd /k ipconfig /all then hit enter. If you are in the 10.156.xxx IP, just send POWERAPP OFF to 5555 (or to 7577) twice (2x) and turn off your modem or phone (airplane mode) for 10-15 minutes. Then open again your device, connect again your modem or Android device to the internet, your problem is solved. If it still did not work, try sending PROTECT OFF to 9999 then PROTECT ON to 9999 and restart your device. 
Still no browse even if you sent the POWERAPP OFF thrice already. If the above no browse solution will still not let you access the internet, try the following solution:
1. Send PROTECT ON to 9999 and wait for confirmation. 
2. Send FREE WIKI to 5555 and wait for the notice that you are still subscribed to the FREE Wikipedia. 
3. Send POWERAPP OFF to 5555 and wait for the two confirmation texts. 
4. Turn off your device for one minute and open again to connect to the internet.
Slow Facebook loading. Use VPNs such as HSS or Psiphon for Android users. For laptop/desktop users, change your DNS to 8.8.8.8 or 8.8.4.4. I cannot provide the use of changing the DNS but Google is your friend or you might try using this DNS Xchanger. You can also use browser extensions such as Zenmate or Hola.

Note: This tutorial is not exempted from the Smart/TNT 2.5GB capping each day. If you want to prevent your SIM from being blocked due to bandwidth overuse, check the tutorial on How to Prevent Your SIM from Being Blocked, it may work with your SIM. But for the better, I suggest that you do not abuse your internet usage as this is already cheap and it will keep you away from being tagged as heavy user in their system. You can also VPNs such as Psiphon3 or Ultrasurf to prevent your SIM from being blocked.

Finally, Smart Communications had updated their system when using their call promos. Life is more easier without the fuss of keying the different prefixes when calling while enrolled to a certain call promo. No need to get complicated and confused, simply hit the call button when calling the Smart/TNT/Sun number of your friend or family.


To use:
When a user is subscribed to a certain Smart/TNT call promo, he can directly dial the 11-digit Smart/TNT/Sun number (without the +63) of the person he wants to call and hit the call button.

Example: 
I am enrolled to the new Smart UCT50 (3 days unlimited call to TNT/Smart/Sun). I will just browse my phone book to look for my friend's number and press the call button (i.e. 0918-3214567 then press call button).

If you have been a heavy downloader and you are using Smart SIM card, for sure you have experienced having your internet access blocked by the network. You will be frustrated that even though you have been using the correct settings, you will receive an error that says, Packet Data Access Not Possible, or you cannot connect to the internet with LTE signal. Don't throw your SIM away because you can still unblock it and have the same internet experience again. No additional charges needed to unlock your LTE SIM! 1. Using a laptop/phone with internet access, go to http://my.smart.com.ph and register a new account using the details of your blocked SIM number (without the 0 in the first digit, i.e. 9281234568). Input your desired name, surname and password and hit Register button. Your blocked SIM will receive an SMS verification from Smart and you will have to input the code into the page that appear next in the registration process.

2. You will be redirected to the Smart Accounts Homepage once Smart verified that the code you entered is correct. Then, click the blue Select button at the right side of the page. You will be redirected to Your Smart Accounts page. Click Account Services (at the left panel) }} Phone and SIM }} International Roaming }} Deactivate International Roaming. Click the blue Proceed button to finish the process.

3. You will see a notice that your request will be processed within 25 minutes on the next page. Time to say, "Hello again internet!".

Alternative Way to Unblock Blocked SIMs
I haven't tried this using Smartbro SIM.
1. Text ROAM ON to 333 and wait for confirmation message.
2. Text ROAM OFF to 211 and wait for confirmation message.
3. Text PROTECT ON to 9999 and wait for confirmation message.

Unblock Talk 'N Text SIM
1.  Send ROAM OFF to 333 and wait for confirmation.
2. Send SET to 211 and wait for confirmation.

Alternative Method for Blocked Data (Jump-IN, KickStart, SmartBro, Buddy, Nano)
1. Send SET to 211 and wait for confirmation.
2. Send PROTECT ON to 999 and wait for confirmation. 

That's it, your internet access is no longer blocked!

Note: You have to have at least one hundred peso balance in your account for this tutorial to be a success. Don't worry, your hundred pesos will not be consumed. Not working with SmartBro SIM.

Smart Communications provides LTE signal to its millions of users but this service comes with a condition that users will not exceed 1.5GB usage per day once subscribe to any of Smart's unlimited internet promos. Otherwise, their LTE (or 4G) signal will be cut off or blocked and they can only continue with their internet access using the 3G signal. Unlimited but with limits?! This is similar to Globe's Fair Usage Policy (FUP) which allow their users to browse, download, upload or stream any internet content using their HSPA+ connection but within the 800MB data limit when registered to any of Globe's unlimited internet promos. So, Smart's is bigger with the limits but there's still a limit. Smart monitors each user's internet data usage and once you reached the limit, your SIM will be blocked from getting the LTE signal (#forever!) and your signal will be downgraded to 3G. This is called throttling but in Smart this will be forever unlike with Globe, you can regain your H+ signal after midnight. You can also use this tutorial on Unblocking Your Smart SIM Blocked Internet Access.

Any internet user will prefer access to LTE signal because it's way faster than 3G and it saves surfing time and provides you as much as many streamed or downloaded files as possible. If your location is already included in the LTE signal coverage, why will you let yourself locked up in the slow 3G signal especially if you are a heavy user? 

The trick to prevent your Smart LTE signal from being blocked is to use SmartBro's APN instead of the LTEinternet APN. Then connect and start browsing in the real sense of unlimited data!

New! Unli Internet With Unli Call and Unli AllNet Texts For Less Than PhP10/Day (Smart/TNT)

Requirements:
a. Smart Jump-IN SIM (Student SIM) - can be bought for PhP15-20 from a Telco store. It is an LTE-capable SIM. Register it to any LTE unlimited internet promo from Smart (i.e. LTE 50 (1 day), LTE 299 (7 days) and send to 2200).
b. USB Broadband Stick or Modem (SIM-Capable) or an internet-capable Android phone or tablet - better if it is LTE-capable

Procedure:
1. Insert your Smart Jump-IN SIM to your broadband stick or modem and access your broadband settings or your phone's internet settings. Input the following values:

Profile Name: Smart LTE Lagi (Any name)
APN: smartbro
No proxy and port

Hit Save and make it your default internet profile. If this fails, try setting the APN to Dynamic (Auto) and hit SAVE. If you are still being blocked, use the default Globe APN: http.globe.com.ph.
2. Connect your broadband or your phone to the internet and start browsing, downloading, streaming and uploading the unlimited way!
*LTE signal only works if you are registered to an LTE promo, is using an LTE-capable device and SIM and your area is in the LTE coverage. Otherwise, you will only be enjoying the 3G/H+ signal.

Remove Capping/Throttling of Your Smart SIM
If you are registered to LTE/Unlisurf promos or to the Piso/Dos Unli Internet Per Day promos, somehow you might have experienced that your network speed is always at the minimum. If this happens, try the registrations below to remove the capping/throttling of your SIM. Don't worry, they are FREE of charge. You only have to redo some of the steps in the Piso/Dos Unli Net Per Day.
1. Setup your APN as the one above (APN: smartbro).
2. Send PROTECT ON to 9999 and wait for confirmation that your load is now protected.
3. Send FREE WIKI to 5555 and wait for confirmation.
4. Send POWERAPP OFF to 5555 and wait for confirmation message.
5. Send ROAM OFF to 333 and wait for confirmation.
6. Done. Enjoy the unlimited internet in the real sense of it!

Prevent Capping/Throttling of Surfmax Promos

1. Send PROTECT ON to 9999 and wait for confirmation.
2. Register to SURFMAX50/SURFMAXPLUS (send to 9999) and wait for confirmation.
3. Send FREEWIKI to 5555 or to 7577 and wait for confirmation.
4. Done. You can now enjoy the unlimited internet without the worries of being capped or throttled.

I haven't tried this using the SmartBRO SIM because I don't have one and it is more expensive to purchase.

If your SIM Card is already blocked from the LTE signal, your internet will always be in 3G. But you can recover your LTE signal by calling the Smart's Customer Service at *888 or messaging them at their Twitter account (@SMARTCares). You only have to ask them to unblock you from the LTE signal and they will surely do that.

Though this promo seems to be a bit limited compared to the previous free internet in terms of the number of free sites and online streaming, it's still FREE! Users can also use the Facebook App and Facebook Messenger for FREE!

Smart Communications opens its new promo for the Facebook social media. For only 2 pesos, you can access the FB page all day! You can post your status, browse your feeds, comment and like your friend's posts, stream videos, upload photos, just anything as long as it is in the Facebook area. Isn't this cheaper compared to the PowerAPP promo which is 5 pesos?
