Since many had been complaining that the internet data allocation included in this Globe's Cheap 1100 Allnet Texts for 30 Days has access to Facebook but with no pictures, an anonymous user has commented a way to gain access to FREE Facebook with enabled pictures. But some users still complained that it is not working for them. As for my case, I also tried the promo and I was given 30MB allocation per day but after the 30MB is consumed due to lots of pictures showing in Facebook, one will revert to the use of FREE Facebook access but with no images. The tutorial below will let you use FB for FREE and will let you browse your friend's uploaded pictures.


How to Access FREE Facebook with Enabled Images in Globe/TM?
Requirements:
-Globe/TM Sim card even with zero load
-Facebook App or your internet browser (Opera Mini, UCWEB, Chrome, Firefox, etc)
-Mobile phone/tablet or your broadband stick/modem

Procedure:
1. Go to write messages of your phone/tablet or broadband stick/modem. Then send the following keywords:

SURFALERT ON to 8888 and wait for confirmation.
SURFALERT OFF to 8888 and wait for confirmation.
SURFALERT ON to 8888 and wait for confirmation.

2. Open your Facebook app or Facebook page (using your internet browser) and start using it with enabled images. Done!

Alternative Procedure:
When accessing Facebook, use b-m.facebook.com
All done! 

Note: Your Facebook access cannot play FB videos. This tutorial only enables pictures to show.

I got a Samsung Smart Gravity phone from my aunt last week and I tried to tweak this 2011 model phone to keep up with the fast developing Android world while typhoon #Lando is slowly making his downpour. I rooted the phone and updated the firmware because the stock ROM feels lousy (though this phone has only one existing working custom ROM up to this date). So far, it's snappy now but I encountered a certain problem, the network signal won't stick with the 3G strength, it is always in EDGE even if it is a 3G phone.

So, I browsed the net and read so many helpful tutorials that opened new horizons to my not-so-varied Android experience. And I came up with this tutorial that will help Android users to back away from the 2G/EDGE signal and empower their phones/tablets with 3G/4G signal using the different mobile networks in our country. This works for most brands such as Samsung, Cherry Mobile, Huawei, Sony, etc. Just try this tutorial and comment below if it did not work with your phone brand so I can update this post.

Disclaimer: This tutorial will NOT prevent your SIM from being blocked/throttled by your network due to heavy downloading or bandwidth overuse. It only provides users with simple tweaks to let their device experience the 3G/4G speed instead of the EDGE/2G speed by default.

How to Make Your Android Device (Phone/Tablet) Stick with 3G/4G?
To get rid of the sluggish 2G/EDGE signal of your device,
1. Grab your phone/tablet and dial *#2263#. This will bring your device to its Service Mode.
2. Three options will display in the screen and I bet yours will have asterisk (*) in the Automatic option. Now, tap {2} WCDMA Band Preference to choose this option then hit the back button of your device twice after a page confirms your selection.
3. Done. Check the network status by dialing *#0011#. Your device should say that it's now using the WCDMA band.

Service Mode Screen (*#2263#). Set it to WCDMA Band Preference.

Note:
-Make sure that your device is a 3G/4G capable phone. If not, the WCDMA/H+/HSPA+ will not stick. Your device will not connect to a network or it will revert back to GSM (Auto).
-This signal eats up much battery compared to the primitive 2G/EDGE signal. So, have a handy powerbank with you.
-You don't need to be rooted to make this work. 
-If it did not work, just follow the steps again and choose Automatic in the options to restore your previous settings.
-This tutorial is very helpful for those not-so-advanced 3G Android devices that didn't have these options in their Settings Menu.

Other secret codes that may come handy with your Android device:
*#*#4636#*#* (or *#*#INFO#*#* for easy memorization) - it can show your device info and network status. You can edit DNS in your device here, you can PING Google using your phone to check your internet access and you can also set the internet mode here (GSM, LTE, WCDMA, etc).

Let's call this trick the PisoNet since this provides Talk 'N Text and Smart users with unlimited internet access for at least one peso per day. This is way cheaper than the Smart's new Unlimited Internet for PhP20/Day.  This also beats the TNT's PhP5/Day Internet Access for Clash of Clans Users. Better, right? As for Smart users, it's actually PhP2/day while for TNT users it's PhP1 per 2 days. You can browse, e-mail, chat in social media, download files, stream videos and play online games. The internet speed after availing this promo will depend on your location as the strength of TNT and Smart signal vary. The signal is an H+/HSPA+, not LTE. It can be used on phone/tablet and modems as long as there is a SIM slot. This doesn't work for SmartBro SIM. Pisonet is also working for Mindanao area users (thanks to Jan Do You's feedback).

How to Have Unlimited Internet For at Least Piso per Day (TNT and Smart)
Requirements:
Talk 'N Text SIM or Smart SIM with at least P10 load (Buddy LTE SIM only)
Pocket wifi, broadband stick, modem or Android phone/tablet that allows usage of any of the two SIMs mentioned

Unlimited Internet with Unli Call and Unli Allnet Texts For Less Than PhP10/Day

Procedures:
TNT Users (Unli Internet Piso per 2 Days)
Not working as of August 9, 2016
1. Text PROTECT ON to 4545 and wait for confirmation. This will turn ON the Load Protection of your SIM so that the network will not charge you with the standard internet charges.
2. Text SAMPLE to 4545 and wait for confirmation. Update: Consumable 5 hours internet data good for 2 days.
3. Done. Start browsing the internet!
*Redo steps 2 when your PisoNet Sampler subscription expires. This requires that you register to the promos every 2 days for PhP1.00. 
 
New! Unlimited Internet for Smart Users (at least PhP15/Day)

Smart Buddy Users (Unli Internet Dos per Day)
NOT Working as of February 22, 2016. You can also try with Jump-IN SIM.
1. Send PROTECT ON to 9999 and wait for the confirmation. This will turn ON the Load Protection of your SIM so that the network will not charge you with the standard internet charges.
2. Send BIG5 to 9999 and wait for confirmation. You can also try Youtube5 to 9999.
3. Send FREE WIKI to 5555 and wait for the confirmation. This will enable FREE Wikipedia access and also will enable you to proceed with the next promo in Step 3.
4. Send FB2 to 9999 and wait for confirmation. This lets you have one day unlimited Facebook Access for PhP2.00.
5. Send POWERAPP OFF to 5555 and wait for the confirmation. This will turn OFF the notification of Powerapp Boosters offer page when you are browsing pages rather than FB and Wikipedia thus, giving you the unlimited internet access. If you are having trouble sending this code, try sending it to 999.
6. Send MMS ON to 333 and wait for the confirmation. This will restart your data usage.
7. Done. Start surfing the internet!
*Redo steps 3 to 6 when your Facebook subscription expires. This requires that you register to the promos every day for PhP2. Never mind the notification that your BIG5 subscription is already consumed.

Smart Jump-IN Users Using Tablet/Phone (Unli Internet PhP7.00 per Day)
NOT Working as of February 22, 2015
1. Send PROTECT ON to 9999 and wait for confirmation.
2. Subscribe to Youtube promo by texting YOUTUBE5 to 9999.
3. Send FB2 to 9999 and wait for confirmation.
4. Send POWERAPP OFF and wait for confirmation.
5. Send MMS ON to 333 and wait for confirmation.
6. Enable data connection and start surfing Youtube using your device's built-in browser. If you can access the site, then congrats your SIM is already bugged! If you are redirected to the Smart's PowerApp page, text POWERAPP OFF to 5555. If you are having trouble sending POWERAPP OFF to 5555, try sending it to 7577 (Thanks to Sir Janver for the comment below).
*If you cannot register to FB2, register first to FREE WIKI to 5555 (or to 7577). You need to redo steps 2-5 everyday. If you used FREE WIKI instead of Youtube, use the FREE WIKI again in your next registration. This is cheaper than PhP5.

Known Issues (Jump-In/Buddy Users):
No browse even if you followed the steps properly. Just check your current IP and make sure it is not 10.156.xxx.There are Android apps that will help you identify your IP and as for PC/laptop users, just go to your modem/broadband stick dashboard. If it is not displayed in your dashboard, go to Command Prompt and type cmd /k ipconfig /all then hit enter. If you are in the 10.156.xxx IP, just send POWERAPP OFF to 5555 (or to 7577) twice (2x) and turn off your modem or phone (airplane mode) for 10-15 minutes. Then open again your device, connect again your modem or Android device to the internet, your problem is solved. If it still did not work, try sending PROTECT OFF to 9999 then PROTECT ON to 9999 and restart your device. 
Still no browse even if you sent the POWERAPP OFF thrice already. If the above no browse solution will still not let you access the internet, try the following solution:
1. Send PROTECT ON to 9999 and wait for confirmation. 
2. Send FREE WIKI to 5555 and wait for the notice that you are still subscribed to the FREE Wikipedia. 
3. Send POWERAPP OFF to 5555 and wait for the two confirmation texts. 
4. Turn off your device for one minute and open again to connect to the internet.
Slow Facebook loading. Use VPNs such as HSS or Psiphon for Android users. For laptop/desktop users, change your DNS to 8.8.8.8 or 8.8.4.4. I cannot provide the use of changing the DNS but Google is your friend or you might try using this DNS Xchanger. You can also use browser extensions such as Zenmate or Hola.

Note: This tutorial is not exempted from the Smart/TNT 2.5GB capping each day. If you want to prevent your SIM from being blocked due to bandwidth overuse, check the tutorial on How to Prevent Your SIM from Being Blocked, it may work with your SIM. But for the better, I suggest that you do not abuse your internet usage as this is already cheap and it will keep you away from being tagged as heavy user in their system. You can also VPNs such as Psiphon3 or Ultrasurf to prevent your SIM from being blocked.

Finally, Smart Communications had updated their system when using their call promos. Life is more easier without the fuss of keying the different prefixes when calling while enrolled to a certain call promo. No need to get complicated and confused, simply hit the call button when calling the Smart/TNT/Sun number of your friend or family.


To use:
When a user is subscribed to a certain Smart/TNT call promo, he can directly dial the 11-digit Smart/TNT/Sun number (without the +63) of the person he wants to call and hit the call button.

Example: 
I am enrolled to the new Smart UCT50 (3 days unlimited call to TNT/Smart/Sun). I will just browse my phone book to look for my friend's number and press the call button (i.e. 0918-3214567 then press call button).

The University of the Philippines Sandigan para sa Mag-aaral at Sambayanan Alumni (UP SAMASA) together with the UP Office of the Vice-Chancellor for Student Affairs (UP OVCSA) is to conduct the Great LEAN Run (TGLR) on September 19, 2015 5PM  (Saturday) at the UP Sunken Garden and Academic Oval. If you have been a heavy downloader and you are using Smart SIM card, for sure you have experienced having your internet access blocked by the network. You will be frustrated that even though you have been using the correct settings, you will receive an error that says, Packet Data Access Not Possible, or you cannot connect to the internet with LTE signal. Don't throw your SIM away because you can still unblock it and have the same internet experience again. No additional charges needed to unlock your LTE SIM! Once your SIM is already unblocked, you can follow this Trick to Prevent Smart LTE Signal Block tutorial to keep your SIM card from being blocked again by Smart.

You will be redirected to Your Smart Accounts page. Click Account Services (at the left panel) }} Phone and SIM }} International Roaming }} Deactivate International Roaming. Click the blue Proceed button to finish the process.

3. You will see a notice that your request will be processed within 25 minutes on the next page. Time to say, "Hello again internet!".

I haven't tried this using Smartbro SIM.
1. Text ROAM ON to 333 and wait for confirmation message.
2. Text ROAM OFF to 211 and wait for confirmation message.
3. Text PROTECT ON to 9999 and wait for confirmation message.

Unblock Talk 'N Text SIM
1.  Send ROAM OFF to 333 and wait for confirmation.
2. Send SET to 211 and wait for confirmation.

Alternative Method for Blocked Data (Jump-IN, KickStart, SmartBro, Buddy, Nano)
1. Send SET to 211 and wait for confirmation.
2. Send PROTECT ON to 999 and wait for confirmation. 

That's it, your internet access is no longer blocked!

Note: You have to have at least one hundred peso balance in your account for this tutorial to be a success. Don't worry, your hundred pesos will not be consumed. Not working with SmartBro SIM.
